How  to  use

​First, take the chair down from its wall clamp and place it on the floor. Hold the chair so that the piston and attached wheels are facing you. Next, pull the handle upwards until it locks into place. The handle should now be secure. Finally, unlock the security belts to unfold the seat chair.

OPENINg

​Place the chair behind the person who needs to be evacuated. Hold the chair securely on both sides. Push the upper part forward until the chair forms a 90-degree angle with the floor. The edge of the seat should touch the evacuee's knees. Ask the evacuee to sit down. With one foot, pull the piston frame and wheels backward until the piston is fully extended. Lower the chair so that all four wheels are in contact with the floor. Adjust the headrest as necessary. Fasten the head and seat security belts. Make sure the manual transport handles are locked.

SEATING

​When using the escape route, hold the side handle firmly with both hands. As you reach the top of the stairs, push the upper part of the chair forward. Position it at a 90-degree angle to the floor. Next, use one foot to push the 2-wheel frame forward. Ensure that the piston is securely locked in place.

TRANSPORt

​To use the chair safely, keep a two-handed grip on the handle. After stabilising the chair in the first two steps, move your hands to the upper part of the handle. Apply gentle downward pressure to help the chair descend. The chair will move down the stairs on its own, so do not push it. If you feel insecure, take extra precautions.  ​It is helpful to ask someone to assist you by holding the front of the chair. To control how fast you descend, lean your body slightly backward. Always keep both hands on the upper part of the handle. This will provide better stability as you move.

DOWNWARD USAGE

When you reach the bottom of the stairs, adjust the chair to a 90-degree angle to the floor. Use one foot to pull out the two small wheels. This will allow you to transport the person to safety. To help the evacuee exit the chair, tilt it forward and maintain your balance to prevent falling. As you transition from the stairs to a level surface, ensure the chair is stable on all four wheels. Avoid pushing the chair while it is tilted.

FOLDING

To store the chair, start by pushing the two small wheels forward. Next, fold the seat. After that, release the headrest. Make sure to secure the chair with the safety straps. Finally, hang the chair back on its wall hook.

STORAGE
